Who We Are

Harvey Mitchell is an ordained minister with over 26 years of pastoral ministry. He has served small, medium, and large churches as a student ministries pastor, executive pastor, and lead pastor. Harvey received a BA in Pastoral Ministries from Central Bible College, Master of Divinity in Practical Theology from Fresno Pacific University and is currently finishing his Doctor of Ministry in Growing and Multiplying Churches at Biola University. He is currently serving in the Greater St Louis Metro Area through consulting for church growth and risk management at various churches, and is involved with ministering to business owners and professionals through local churches and Alpha USA.

In 2012, Harvey got into insurance while he was church planting in the greater Los Angeles area. Insurance has been a great co-vocational calling for Harvey. 

Harvey is the Director of Church Risk Advisors, a division of the Charles L. Crane Agency. The Crane Agency serves clients in all 50 states and parts of Canada with access to specialized insurance carriers that provide insurance coverages to churches, private schools, religious institutions, and non-profits.

As a division of the Charles L. Crane Agency, Church Risk Advisors has a dedicated team of 15 staff members supported by another 250+ team members to assist with account management, billing, claims, loss control, and risk management services.

Our philosophy

We believe that our responsibility is to educate, inform, and advise our clients regarding various insurance and risk management options and concerns to help them make the best-informed decisions for what is best for them and their organizations. This is not a yearly transactional relationship but an ongoing relationship with regularly scheduled services to help keep our clients educated, informed and best in class.
